Road and highway development involves a considerable number of factors. The job site is always mobile, even if it’s just moving down the route by 100 yards. Broken and varied terrain can also create extreme requirements for cranes.

You might need a crane for a single afternoon to work on a difficult section of road; if that’s the case, we offer hourly rentals to maximize convenience. If you’ll need a crane for longer, we also have daily, weekly, or monthly rates. Depending on the situation, you might consider either a manned or unmanned rental: our experienced operators are ready to help maximize your job site efficiency.

Manned & Unmanned Crane Rentals

Road and highway construction present a diverse set of requirements. Sometimes you need to move a relatively light load that’s a bit too heavy for manpower alone to handle, while at other times steel girders or concrete pylons might be what you’re lifting. You need a crane that can handle all of these situations.

For situations where you’re operating a crane primarily from a paved surface, the boom truck crane might be a perfect fit for you. Mounted on a heavy-duty truck chassis, this crane will have no trouble keeping up with you even if you need to use it at several different job sites in a single day. Although smaller, boom truck cranes can still handle heavy loads: we have models that are rated from 17 to 50 tons.

For bigger stages of the project, such as bridges and overpasses, a crawler crane could be a perfect fit. These machines are designed with heavy lifting capacity in mind and are capable of handling loads between 100 and 660 tons. Crawlers are constructed on steel tracks, allowing them to move easily over slopes and loose dirt as well as remaining mobile even when a load is in the air.

Harnessing, Jacking & Skating

Properly securing loads before they’re lifted is the most crucial aspect of crane operations from a safety perspective. The last thing you want is for a load to shift in the air; even if no one is hurt, the equipment could be damaged or dispersed, costing both time and money in cleanup and repair.

Rigging for paving supplies involves special considerations you don’t typically see on other construction sites. Our experienced riggers can quickly assess any situation, then determine what equipment is needed, how the load should be secured, and oversee the initial lift and movement.

Road & Highway Development: Hauling & Transport

Heavy Hauling & Hot Shot Trucking

Transportation is a constant consideration when you’re working on what is essentially a mobile job site. Depending on the project, the cranes you use could be capable of moving themselves, or you might need regular transportation via tractor trailer. Whatever the situation, we can meet your needs.

Our fleet includes both flatbed and step-deck trailers, and we have both the tractors and drivers necessary to move them. When you hire us, you don’t have to worry about anything other than telling us where something needs to be and when it needs to arrive; we take care of the details.
